We offer you a unique chance to design your own journey of discovery in these vibrant and diverse lands.
Just arrange your own flights,
or travel by car or rail and let us do the rest. We can assist you, of course, and
advise on all your travel requirements and recommend airlines and local airports
for your arrival.
Whether you have only a few days to spare or can afford the luxury of a longer stay,
WineHunters is here to create the ultimate individual plan for you to enjoy the
tastes, sights, sensations and atmosphere of the real France.
You are always in control. Our role is to provide you with a welcoming, romantic
and sensual place to stay and through our extensive local knowledge and contacts,
to open doors that may otherwise remain closed.
We will introduce you to specialist wine makers, restaurants, local produce, village
markets and many other places that other visitors may miss.
We can bring alive all the history still visible in so many medieval towns and villages,
all within easy reach of your destination.
When you visit the Languedoc
either the beautiful Hotel Chateau d’Agel in the Minervois, nestling in the foothills
of the Montagne de Noire, or the ancient Merchants House in Agde fully equipped
for all your self-catering needs.
You will visit the bustling market in Narbonne and also the famous indoor food market,
which is an experience not to be missed.
Les Salleles d’Aude is home to Amorphoralis, the wine museum that holds proof that
the wines of this region graced the tables of the Roman Empire over 2,000 years
ago.
For a fascinating history of a different kind and to marvel at the medieval village
and its location, a trip to St Guilhem de Desert and the Grotte de Clamouse are
essential.
But do not forget, the vineyards we shall visit every day if you wish, produce some
of the finest examples of hand crafted wines representing the passion and expertise
of their creators.
These wines are imported by WineHunters and the vineyards owners have become our
personal friends.
If you choose to visit The Rhone/Provence you will stay in the beautiful village
of Malaucene in the Cotes du Ventoux.
Your hosts will be Nick Hurt and Janie Rymaszewska who have extensive wine experience
and great knowledge of this region. You will stay in their house situated in this
mediaeval village.
